Today, we did an experiment using a flashlight. We learned that some items will block light entirely, some will block some of the light, and some will let almost all of the light pass. Each preschooler found an item in the classroom to test. Later on, while in the science center, preschoolers were able to continue this experiment on their own. This is a very easy experiment to do at home. Simply find some items that you want to test, make a prediction about what you think will happen, and then try it out.
