We had a great time today at the Field Museum! The preschoolers had a great time exploring the museum. We saw dinosaur fossils and lots of animals. The students had a great time finding eggs in the hall of birds.
To celebrate Earth Day, both preschool classes made bird feeders by threading Cheerios onto yarn. These were then hung in the tree in the courtyard. Hopefully, the birds will enjoy eating the cereal and can then use the yarn to make their nests.
During the last several weeks, the preschoolers have had the chance to work together playing different games on the iPad. The students love playing the games and exploring the technology. In addition, I have been very impressed at how good they are at sharing their iPad time with their friends. If you have a tablet at home, I recommend finding some free (or very, very cheap) apps and trying them out with your preschooler. Test out different apps to see which ones they enjoy. Sometimes you need to stop and smell the flowers. That is just what we did when we went on a walk around the Church this morning. Many flowers were already blooming and there were many more covered in buds. I'm guessing that the tulips will be beautiful this time next week.
Spring seems to finally have made it's arrival! The preschoolers were all excited to get outside today and get some fresh air.
