Have you gone on a shape scavenger hunt at your house? Have you found any circles? Our preschoolers have found many different things in our classroom that are a circle shape. To celebrate the circle, we made circle hats. They look great!

One of our stories for our study on Families is Noisy Nora. It's a very fun story and has a lot fun words in it that we have added to our word wall. One of those words is "marbles".
There are some days in which our recess happens at the same time that some older students are having gym class outside. This always ends up being fun for our preschoolers but also for the older students. Making a train was a big hit last week!
We had a very fun morning full of activities to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Students had a delicious snack and then we voted to see which flavor of Jarritos was our favorite. It was a tie! They were both delicious! After our treat, I turned on a video of Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles. We played instruments while watching the dancing and listening to the mariachi band. It was so much fun! The preschoolers loved playing the instruments and loved watching the beautiful dancing!
On Friday, Epiphany held a special ceremony to honor first responders in remembrance of 9/11. We were very lucky to have some firefighters and some police officers in attendance. After the ceremony, our preschoolers gave some of the officers and firefighters some high fives!
Thank you for all that you do for our community!! The preschoolers used the watercolor paints for the first time this year to also practice writing their names. The students are already getting very good at staying on the lines when they are tracing the letters in their names. The colorful names are now hanging up in our classroom.
If you walk by our classroom on a Friday morning, you are going to hear some loud singing and see a lot of dancing and moving. That's because it's Dance Party Friday! We celebrate every Friday with some dancing and a lot of laughing. It's a great way to end the week!
Tuesday's weather was full of rain and storms but we were able to find enough time in between the rain to go on a walk. I'm so glad that we did because we had the chance to see some construction workers on the job! The preschoolers were amazed by the giant equipment and trucks.
