This morning, Ms. Katie from Toman Library stopped by to tell us about the summer reading program at the library. Participating in the activities at the library is a great way to have fun in the summer while learning!
Due to the expected heat tomorrow (Tuesday, May 28th), all students can wear their gym uniforms even if they don't have gym class tomorrow. Please send your preschoolers (and any siblings at Epiphany) to school in their gym uniforms tomorrow. And think cool thoughts!
We are already on U for our Alphabet Countdown! Today, we read books under tables and under blankets. It's always fun to find new ways to read! Today's alphabet countdown letter is the letter T. T is for Tower! We divided into smaller groups and attempted to make towers using different building materials. It was a lot of fun and required some very interesting problem solving! Yesterday afternoon was Epiphany's spring concert. I was so glad to see so many family members in the audience! Our preschoolers did a great job! On Tuesday, we practiced using measuring tools (rulers, measuring tapes, yard sticks) to measure things in the classroom. We've been practicing starting our measurement at the end of the measuring tool, by the side that has the "1".
We have been hard at work coloring our life-sized self portraits! I encourage you to come to our Open House on Sunday. You'll see the finished works on display in the hallway. Our preschoolers love measuring! We did some more measuring this week using the pieces of yarn that have been cut to our heights. |
