We have had such a great year with our 8th grade buddies! Today is an exciting day for them. It's graduation day! It is always sad to see our 8th graders leave but we know that they will do amazing things in high school and beyond. The preschoolers made cards for their 8th grade buddies. This morning, the 8th graders came down to read books to our preschoolers. The books were all about going to Kindergarten or starting at a new school.
The summer months are a great time to explore the city with your preschooler. There are many great things that you can do as a family both in your neighborhood and around Chicago. I've made a list of some educational, fun, and mostly FREE things that you can do this summer to ensure that this is a summer filled with learning and fun!
Many museums have free or discounted admission days during the summer. Take advantage of all of the cultural experiences that Chicago has to offer at a great price! *Please note, times and dates may change. Please check the websites for additional information about admission, transportation, parking, special events/programs, etc.
We love when Ms. Katie from Toman Library comes to visit! She visited with us on Tuesday to read some books to us and tell us about the summer reading challenge at Chicago Public Library. I encourage all families to join the reading challenge this summer. It sounds like there are going to be a lot of great prizes and activities. You can find out more here.
