On Friday, we were able to learn about animals using actual furs and pelts on loan from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. We used measuring tools to measure how long the furs and pelts were, and used our senses to explore how the furs and pelts felt. We were able to make observations of skulls and teeth. It was so fun to be able to observe these materials.
