This morning, we went on a field trip to Garfield Park Conservatory. We were studying plant adaptations. We found small leaves and we found very, very big leaves. We went on scavenger hunts to find specific plants in the different rooms. It was a very fun day!

Our turkey is all ready for Thanksgiving and is on display in the hallway. However, he needs some feathers! Remember to send in your family's completed feathers by Wednesday, November 8th so that our turkey looks beautiful for Thanksgiving.
This afternoon, Epiphany students celebrated Dia de los Muertos. Our afternoon started with some pan dulce. It was delicious! Thumbs up from everyone! Then, we did a photo shoot. Can you figure out which little skeleton is which preschooler? After our photo shoot in the hallway, Ms. Kaitlyn's class joined us for the remainder of our party. We watched an episode of Elena of Avalor all about Dia de los Muertos, then all of the preschoolers were divided into three groups. The groups rotated among three stations: two different skull coloring pages and some dancing. We had so much fun! Check out some pictures below. There was some construction happening last week as the sidewalk between the school and the church was removed and a new sidewalk was poured. The preschoolers, of course, were very excited to see that a lot of this was happening during our recess time. |
