For Tasty Tuesday, we did a taste test of Oreo cookies. We tried the traditional chocolate Oreo cookies and Golden Oreos. Do you know which kind your preschooler would choose? Our favorites are posted in the hallway. Tomorrow's theme: Work Together Wednesday

This week, we are making further observations of our beans that are currently in the window. There haven't been many changes in the beans yet but we are hoping that over the next few weeks, we might see some changes and some bean plants starting to grow.
This week, we are celebrating the Week of the Young Child. The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children to celebrate early learning, young children, their teachers and their families. Each day has a different theme. Today is Music Monday. We celebrated by using our classroom instruments as we danced along to songs on our Promethean board. You can keep the fun with music going while at home, too. Dance around the house while listening to music. Drum on the floor or use pots and pans are your drums.
Tomorrow's theme: Tasty Tuesday! This morning, we used three kinds of vegetables to do some stamping. We used zucchini, yellow squash and bell pepper. The preschoolers had a lot of fun doing these paintings.
Today was such a perfect day to get outside. We had a wonderful recess in the warm sun. Hopefully, this weather will stick around a little bit.
On Tuesday, we did some exploring of seeds. We had many different kinds of wildflower seeds to look at and feel. We observed that they were different colors, sizes and shapes.
This week, we began a new unit of study: things that grow! We are making observations of a bean and then will make weekly observations as the beans hopefully start to grow.
