The preschoolers were very excited to check on the flowers today. We have found that the blue seems to be working the best. Although, the flowers that are in the red water are beginning to get a little bit of red coloring to them. The white flower that is in the red water seems to be taking on a little red color but also doesn't seem to be doing that well. Many students have made the prediction that it isn't going to last very long.

We are learning about things that grow. Students have been able to explore seeds and are starting to grow bean plants. This week, we started an experiment so that we could see how water travels in flowers. We used white and yellow carnations. In addition to our knowledge of what plants need, we are also using our knowledge of color mixing. Each group of three flowers has one in plain, clear water, one in red water, and one in blue. After a day of sitting in the cups, we were able to see some difference in the flowers that were in blue water.
