While in the science center, preschoolers are able to explore making shadows using flashlights. They can trace the shadow and then we add it to the shadow museum on the wall. It's a great way to explore light and shadow. It is also a great way to practice problem solving and teamwork because they need to figure out who will hold the flashlight, who will make the shadow, and who will do the tracing.
