As you know, we have a very snowy weekend! There was still plenty of snow in the courtyard this morning so I scooped some up. The preschoolers felt the snow as we talked about how it melts when it gets warm. We read The Snowy Day this morning and in that book, the character of Peter learns about snow melting when he tries to save a snowball. After we felt the snow, we painted it with watercolor paints. We then saved the giant pile of snow on a shelf to see how long it would take to melt. It's almost time for dismissal and it still hasn't melted all the way!
