On Tuesday, pieces of yarn were cut to match each student's height. On Wednesday, students were able to use their yarn pieces to see how their height compared to items in the classroom. Students used blocks, books, and various other items in the classroom to see how their height compared to the height of other objects. This is a great activity because it gives the students some time to practice measuring skills and also gives them time to practice their counting. The preschoolers have already been asking when we will be measuring our heights again.
