This week, during our small group time, we are working on sounding out and recognizing color words. Students take turns saying and sounding out the words and then finding something in the classroom that is that color. This is something that you can easily practice at home, too. Simply write down some color words, help your child to sound them out, and then go on a color scavenger hunt around your house.
