There are some things that you will always see in a preschool classroom. One of those is an area for exploring with blocks. It is important to remember that when a child is building with blocks he or she is exploring many different ideas: balance, architecture, height, width, story-telling, weight, construction, sharing, time management, and planning of ideas. Students need to figure out how to work together to achieve their goals. It may just look like they playing, but while they are having fun those preschoolers are learning about serious topics.
