In addition to the butterfly exhibit case that I had on loan from the Field Museum, we were also able to explore an Animal Homes box from the Museum. It was full of interesting animal homes. The homes had some very interesting similarities and some very interesting differences, too. We were able to explore the homes for a paper wasp, honey bee, mud dauber wasp, weevil, bark beetle, and two types of birds nests. It was fun to see and feel the different materials that animals had used to build their homes.
