Remember, tomorrow is a very important day if your family is eligible for the tax scholarship. There are meetings at 8am, 12pm, 3pm, and 7pm. Please plan on attending one of these sessions.
On Friday, we used straws and tried to move cotton balls down the hall toward their teammates. It was a lot of fun!
On Friday, our preschoolers learned about Martin Luther King, Jr. One of the things that we talked about was how we are all the same, no matter what our outsides look like. We did an experiment with two eggs. The eggs were different colors on the outside, but they looked the same on the inside! We also did some coloring pages of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
During small group this week, one of our activities was exploring the words sink and float. We made predictions about a group of objects and if they would sink or float. We then tested our predictions to see if our original hypothesis about the objects was correct.
Yesterday, we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany. The preschoolers made shoes before Christmas break and we came back to see that the Magi had stopped by to give us treats! We got to enjoy those treats after finishing our lunch. We also did a prayer service and a blessing of our classroom. What a great way to start 2018!
The temperature has definitely dropped the last couple days. Chances are really good, that when we return to school on January 8th, the temperatures will be very cold with a very cold wind chill. When the temperature or wind chill is really low, we have indoor recess. Most times during indoor recess we do some activities on GoNoodle. One of our favorites before Christmas was Cookie Boogie!
We had such a fun day today! We started our morning with some dancing along to some songs while ringing jingle bells.
Then, our 8th grade buddies came down to our classroom and read Christmas stories to us!
During our Christmas party, we watched movies, did coloring pages, and ate lots of yummy food!
Wednesday night, Epiphany held it's Christmas Concert. Our preschoolers did such a great job! I'm so proud! Below, you will find some pictures from Wednesday night. If you have some pictures from the concert that you would like to share, please email them and I will add them to this post! Thanks!
